is there a conflict, then, between God’s law and God’s promises? absolutely not! if the law could give us new life, we could be made right with God by obeying it.

di pasal 3 Paulus berkali-kali negesin hukum itu nda bawa kehidupan. kalo hukum bisa bawa kehidupan kenapa Tuhan ngga kasi coach untuk latih kita taat hukum? dan ujung-ujungnya balik lagi, kenapa Tuhan harus mati buat kita?
that’s the problem. it can’t. cuma iman yang selametin kita.
nda ada cerita kita taat hukum terus bisa selamet. masalahnya kita aja nda bisa taat hukum sesuai standard Allah.
katakan aku berdosa cuma tiga kali sehari aja. ini baik nda? wah keren sih… sehari aku berkali-kali berdosa. tapi okelah difur deh, tiga kali aja dalam sehari.
terus ini dikali 365 hari dalam setaun. wow. aku dlm setaun dosa seribu kali. dan tergantung umurku sampe berapa, tinggal dikali aja. itu udah dalam asumsi sehari dosaku cuma tiga.
nda ada. nda ada satu orangpun yang bisa taat hukum. semua dari kita gagal.
deuteronomy 27:26 - NLT
‘cursed is anyone who does not affirm and obey the terms of these instructions.’ and all the people will reply, ‘amen.’
semua orang setuju, orang yang ngga bisa taat hukum itu terkutuk. kita terkutuk.

tapi Puji Tuhan! Kristus tau, our helpless state. Dia tau kita nda bisa taat hukum dan diem aja di takhtaNya. apa dia harus turun? samasekali nda ada kewajiban. tapi Dia mau turun ke dalam dunia, untuk apa?
galatians 3:13–14 - NLT
but Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. when he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. for it is written in the Scriptures, “cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.
karna Kristus selametin kita, kita nerima keslamatan bukan karna kita berusaha baik. tapi karna iman.
